Toyota Super White (040) is one of the most popular OEM solid whites, widely used across Toyota models. Known for its clean, bright finish and excellent coverage, this colour is ideal for both repairs and full resprays.

Application system

Option 1: Basecoat system (most common)

• Basecoat (colour)
• Clearcoat (gloss & protection)
• Better control for blending and repairs
• Ideal for professional panel work

Option 2: 2K direct gloss system

• No clearcoat required
• Built-in gloss finish
• Faster application

Mixing & application

Basecoat (Option 1):

• Mix 1:1 with thinners only
• Do not add hardener

Clearcoat (Option 1):

• Mix 2:1 with hardener
• Add 10–20% thinners if needed

2K Direct Gloss (Option 2):

• Mix 2:1 with hardener
• Add 10–20% thinners if required

Spraying:

• Apply 2–3 coats (allow 5–10 minutes between coats)
• For basecoat system, finish with 2 coats of clearcoat

Surface preparation

• Sand surface (P320–P400 for preparation, P600–P800 for finishing)
• Prime if needed, then sand smooth
• Clean thoroughly before painting

Finishing
After curing, polish using Presta polish to achieve a high-gloss, professional finish.

How to find your colour code
Colour code locations may vary depending on the vehicle manufacturer:

• Toyota: usually found under the bonnet or on the driver’s door frame
• Volkswagen / Audi: commonly found in the boot near the spare wheel area
• Other vehicles: may be located under the bonnet, door jamb, or service book
