Kia Intense Red (A6R) is a bold, vibrant red colour, known for its rich tone and strong visual impact. This OEM colour delivers a clean, glossy finish, ideal for restoring your vehicle to its original appearance.

Application system
2-stage system:

• Groundcoat (base layer)
• Clearcoat (gloss & protection)

Mixing & application

Groundcoat:

• Mix 1:1 with thinners only
• Do not add hardener

Clearcoat:

• Mix 2:1 with hardener
• Add 10–20% thinners if needed

Spraying:

• Apply 2–3 coats of groundcoat (allow 5–10 minutes between coats)
• Finish with 2 coats of clearcoat for gloss and durability

Surface preparation

• Sand surface (P320–P400 for preparation, P600–P800 for finishing)
• Prime if needed, then sand smooth
• Clean thoroughly before painting

Finishing
After curing, polish using Presta polish to achieve a high-gloss, professional finish.

Colour code locations may vary depending on the vehicle manufacturer:

• Kia: usually found on the driver’s door frame or door jamb
• Volkswagen / Audi: commonly found in the boot near the spare wheel area
• Other vehicles: may be located under the bonnet, door jamb, or service book
